In partnership with our client, a global leader in metals manufacturing, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician located in the Athens, AL area. The ideal candidate will provide electrical and instrumentation support for maintenance, engineering, and production. This is a direct hire opportunity.

JOB DUTIES

Troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of the plant assets focusing on safe, reliable, and cost-effective production in a lean manufacturing environment.
Performs job tasks for the planning and execution of shutdowns / outages.
Maintain up to date spare parts and drawings.
Provides communication to maintenance and production groups to maintain and enhance equipment reliability.
Will direct and/or perform in various maintenance tasks both safely and efficiently.
Assist other production team employees about specific equipment and processes.
Requires knowledge and skills in own function; still acquiring higher level skills.
Builds knowledge of the company processes and customers.
Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures.
Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate (AS) degree in Industrial Electrical Maintenance or relevant field, or an equivalent number of years of education and relevant maintenance experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical and/or instrumentation experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens S7 PLCs is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand control logic, flow diagrams, instrument loops and control circuits.
